"Out of the silence": this somewhat lyrical motto was chosen by the artists of the Fürstenfeldbruck Artists' Association for their exhibition.

After a 3-year break, the Fürstenfeldbruck District Office is again offering a guided tour of the exhibition "September 5, 1972 - The End of the Munich Cheerful Games" on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Old Tower of the Fürstenfeldbruck Air Base.

The district invited to a presentation event at the air base on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. to introduce the app to a young audience in particular. This event offered for the first time the opportunity to experience the app of the digital place of remembrance directly at the site of the events, which makes it possible to convey the events even more impressively.

As of now, the digital place of remembrance for the 1972 Olympic assassination in Fürstenfeldbruck is also represented on social networks under the name "erinnerungsort72".

With its own website and an interactive app, the district of Fürstenfeldbruck has created a digital place of remembrance that reappraises and illuminates the events of September 5, 1972 in detail. The digital place of remembrance focuses on the memory of the twelve victims and at the same time offers the opportunity to get an overview of the events and the place where the assassination attempt came to its tragic end.

To mark the 50th anniversary of the Olympic Games in Munich in 2022, the Olympic assassination of September 5-6, 1972, will be commemorated throughout the year. Each month, a victim is the focus of the commemoration. In May, the Fürstenfeldbruck district office remembers the wrestler Eliezer Halfin.

"Twelve Months - Twelve Names: 50 Years of the 1972 Munich Olympics Attack" - this is the title of the 2022 commemorative year. To commemorate the twelve victims in a very special way 50 years after the terrible events, the focus will be on one victim each month.
