Press release: Exhibition in the district office in memory of Eliezer Halfin

To mark the 50th anniversary of the Olympic Games in Munich in 2022, the Olympic assassination of September 5-6, 1972, will be commemorated throughout the year. Each month, a victim will be the focus of the commemoration. Various actions are planned in public spaces, ranging from installations that will be on display throughout the month to one-day actions.

The commemoration project is being conceived and coordinated by the Jewish Museum Munich in cooperation with the Nazi Documentation Center Munich and the Consulate General of the State of Israel. It is being implemented with cooperation partners such as the Amerikahaus, the district of Fürstenfeldbruck, the Deutsches Theater, the Bavarian Civil Service University - Police Department and the Munich Police Headquarters, as well as other cultural and educational institutions and other interested parties.

In May, the Fürstenfeldbruck District Office commemorates the wrestler Eliezer Halfin. For this reason, the exhibition "September 5, 1972 - The End of the Cheerful Games of Munich" can be seen from May 2 to 31 in the District Office, expanded with information on the life of Eliezer Halfin.

The district, together with the tour guides of the city of Fürstenfeldbruck and the Historical Association for the City and District of Fürstenfeldbruck e V. Guided tours:
- Monday, May 9 at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
- Thursday, May 12 at 2 p.m.
- Tuesday, May 17 at 10 a.m.
- Friday, May 20 at 2 p.m.
- Monday, May 23 at 2 p.m.
- Tuesday, May 24 at 5 p.m.
- Wednesday, May 25 at 10 a.m.
- Tuesday, May 31 at 2 p.m.

The tour lasts about 1.5 hours, admission is free. 15 people can register per exhibition tour.
